about why they are at the Sensitivity Awarness Workshop of Southwest
Florida Inc. offices in Fort Myers.
The Life Skills Students from Bonita Middle School and the Millers
were celebrating the two-year anniversary of the workshop's existence.
The workshop came to be after Lisa Cronin Miller was volunteering
at a Bonita Springs Middle School dance which her daughter and
the Exceptional Student Education class.
To Miller's astonishment, the ESE children were made fun of by
other children attending the dance.
After that experience, Miller started the workshop,
which educates the community about people who have physical,
mental or learning
disabilities through a hands-on, interactive program and has taught
4,000 people.
