Overview Chamber of Southwest Florida and the Sensitivity Awareness Workshop, Inc. Partner to Bring Life Changing Program to Southwest Florida:
See Joint Press Release September 2004
Did you know that according to the 2000 US Census, 1 in every
5 Americans have been diagnosed with some type of disability? This
means that every day, all of us will share our schools or workplace
with someone that has a physical, mental or learning disability.
The Chamber of Southwest Florida understands that as the Southwest
Florida region grows, we must all learn how to better relate to
people with disabilities. Because of this, the Chamber of Southwest
Florida has partnered with the Sensitivity Awareness Workshop, Inc. in a joint effort to deliver this life-changing program to
Southwest Florida.
“The Chamber can help our regional business
community by providing tools that strengthen the skills and abilities
of our
workforce. The investment of just one hour of your day can change
the way you see your world for the rest of your life! Experience
this workshop and learn how others around you everyday embrace
their world despite their limitations. Looking for a way to sensitize
your work team to the diversity, strengths, weaknesses, and value
of others? Give them this experience. This workshop has value for
individuals at every level of responsibility in your organization.”
STEVE TIREY, President/CEO, the Chamber of
Southwest Florida
