Partner to Bring Life Changing Program to Southwest Florida: See Joint Press Release September 2004 Did you know that according to the 2000 US Census, 1 in every 5 Americans have been diagnosed with some type of disability? This means that every day, all of us will share our schools or workplace with someone that has a physical, mental or learning disability. The Chamber of Southwest Florida understands that as the Southwest Florida region grows, we must all learn how to better relate to people with disabilities. Because of this, the Chamber of Southwest Florida has partnered with the Sensitivity Awareness Workshop, Inc. in a joint effort to deliver this life-changing program to Southwest Florida. “The Chamber can help our regional business community by providing tools that strengthen the skills and abilities of our workforce.
